At Ballina District Court this morning, John Biggins (33), Ballynanty Cross, Glencorrib, was charged with the murder of Tom Biggins, his 71-year-old father, on the family farm on Sunday afternoon.

Free Psoriasis Information Day in Ballina
A free psoriasis information day will take place on Wednesday, January 18 next, in Molloy’s Pharmacy, Bunree, Ballina, from 2pm to 5pm. Dermatology nurse, Siobhan Murphy, will advise patients on their particular type of psoriasis, management of the condition and compliance with treatments. Psoriasis is a debilitating skin condition that is non-contagious and treatable. An estimated 3,900 people throughout Mayo have the condition.
