Fair wind for Corrib Regatta
Cong photogapher, Richard Finnegan, attended the SOD Corrib Regatta, at the weekend, and took some lovely phtographs of the sailing boats as they set off from Lisloughrey Bay in Cong on their way to Cornamona in Co Galway.

Rose of Tralee lends her support to Ballinrobe fundraiser for Philippines
The current Rose Of Tralee, Tara Talbot, has paid a visit to Mayo to highlight the work of the charity SERVE and to endorse the efforts of the Ballinrobe Musical Society, who present their highly acclaimed concert Anthems in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Friday March 16th, in aid of The SERVE Philippines project of 2012.

Western Lakes Cycling Club, invites the public to the launch of their new website, the Mizen to Malin cycle challenge, Polkadot and Lap of the Mask cycles, Western Lakes / Covey League club road racing league. The event takes place Wednesday, 7th March, at 8pm in Inches Bar, Main St, Ballinrobe.

Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD was delighted to officially open the Kilmaine Village Loop Walk on Sunday, 26th February. The Kilmaine Village Loop Walk is a 1.5 km walk which has been developed by the local community.
Ballinrobe student to sing for GMIT at Song Contest in Castlebar
Musically talented students from Institutes of Technology around the country are to gather in Castlebar next Tuesday, 6 March, for the national finals of the popular IT Factor Song Contest. Hosted this year by GMIT Castlebar, the finals take place in the Royal Theatre opposite the GMIT campus (Westport Road), Castlebar, from 8pm.
